If you are considering bringing your dog to stay with you at Sandy Point, please read and understand our policy. If you have a service or emotional support dog, we will ask for documentation. We are sorry, but we do not allow dogs in the cabins during the summer season. Dogs are always welcome to come and play golf with you. NOTE: They must be leashed and under your control while in the common areas of the resort (Pro Shop; Hall of Fame; Rest Room). Due to staff’s severe cat allergies, we cannot allow cats in the cabins at any time. In addition to cats, other household pets (birds/exotics) are not allowed. Please do not ask us to make exceptions.
In the off season, we reserve the right to limit the number of dogs on the property in cabins at one time. The charge is $25 per dog per day or $75 per week. Advanced registration, Signature on Pet Agreement, and confirmation in writing is required, along with a $100 cleaning/damage deposit for each dog, which will be charged at check-in and must be paid by a separate check. No cash. No credit cards. (If you do not register your dog in advance, an additional $25 per day charge will apply.) Dog owners must read the rules below and agree to the terms of the Pet Agreement. Failure to comply with any part of the policy will result in forfeiture of cleaning/damage deposit. If there are no issues as a result of your pet/pet behavior, we will VOID/tear-up your check. No news is good news. If we feel the need to apply your deposit we will write to you to explain why.
DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT THE BEACH WHEN OTHER GUESTS ARE PRESENT.
X _______ Dogs must be managed at all times. Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs in their cabin and the common areas of the resort. At NO TIME is the dog allowed outside of the cabin without being accompanied by the owner and pet MUST be on a leash.
X _____ You are not to leave your dog in your cabin unattended while you are not on resort property. If you need to leave the resort for any reason, you are to take your dog with you. Failure to do so could result in a breach of this agreement.
X _____ If we receive any noise complaints about your dog, you will receive notice advising you to keep your dog under control. If we receive a second complaint, you will be asked to remove your dog from the resort property.
X _____ Dogs are not allowed on the furniture and particularly the beds. We prefer dogs to be kenneled at night. ANY evidence of dog hair on furniture or bedding will result in forfeiture of deposit.
Please treat your cabin, other guests and the resort property with the same care as you would your permanent home. Any damage to the cabin or property–or ANY evidence of your pet (i.e. dog waste/shedding/scratch marks) will result in loss of cleaning/damage deposit. Vacuums, brooms and handi-vacs are available in the cabins.
